My work is based around an interest in activating the plane with interactions between color and space developed intuitively, and driven by emotions I have only recently been able to name. As I've begun to come to terms with darker parts of my early history, I've been drawn towards increasingly bold palettes, and drifted away from the perfectionist bent that previously controlled my work. While an active improvisational exploration has always been there, I am currently in a period of pure exploration with the intention of finding a sense of freedom in the paint.
